PUBLIC POLICY
The Public Policy initiative seeks to eliminate racial inequities through connecting policy analysis and research with community organizing in Minnesota. To accomplish this, the Public Policy initiative:
Advances the public debate on race. Develops new and exposes existing frames on race in the media and broader public conversation in order to shift the debate beyond disparities or statistics to public policy outcomes.
Develops action research instruments. Tools such as papers and resources are developed to guide the creation of race-conscious public policy and reveal the impact of public policy in education, criminal justice, civil rights, health, and economic issues on Minnesotans of color.
