Strategic Convenings

Strategic convenings create spaces that bring numerous groups and individuals together. These convenings are single issue, cross issue, multiracial, multicultural, single gender, cross gender events which allow connection and opportunity for shared learning and alignment of equity work. One ongoing strategic convening space is the Education Equity Organizing Collaborative, organized and led by Julia. The strategic convening initiative not only brings individuals and groups together, but can also help propel other initiatives undertaken by OAP. Every Racial Equity Policy Brief begins with a convening of groups and convenings feed the Report Card and other research iniatives.
